Meet Our Executive Team
As a new organization, we are actively looking for interested mentors from various language and culture backgrounds who shares our visions.
Louie Wang MD | Founder & Executive Director
Louie, who was born in New York but spent his formative years in China, returned to New York at the age of 11 with no knowledge of the English language. This transition subjected him to social difficulties and feelings of isolation, which ultimately shaped his resolve to assist fellow English-Language-Learner students. Throughout his undergraduate years at UC San Diego, Louie actively engaged in student government and boldly challenged the prevailing stereotypes associated with traditional Greek life by founding a social fraternity. In 2019, he proudly graduated from UCSD with both a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in Biology, focusing his studies on Alzheimer's Disease. Continuing his academic journey, Louie completed his medical education at the prestigious David Geffen School of Medicine at UCSD in 2023. Now an emergency medicine resident physician at his beloved alma mater, Louie wholeheartedly participates in, leads, and establishes organizations such as IMMIMEDI, all while dedicating himself to peer advising and advocating for disadvantaged students. |
